IP location is approximate. It may show your ISP, exchange, city, region, or VPN server location.
If your ISP and city are visible here, websites may be able to infer similar information.
This page shows the public IP information that websites can usually see when you visit them. Your public IP address is assigned by your internet provider, mobile network, company network, VPN, proxy, or hosting provider. It is different from the private address your router gives to devices inside your home network.
The dashboard can show IPv4, IPv6, ISP, ASN, approximate city, region, country, timezone, and hostname when the data is available. Some networks hide or generalise these details, and VPNs often show the VPN server location instead of your real location.
IP geolocation is based on databases, routing information, and provider records. It is approximate. Your IP may show your ISP's nearest network point, a nearby city, a mobile carrier gateway, or a VPN endpoint. It should not be treated as your exact address.
