Internet Speed Test
This test measures your download speed, upload speed, and ping directly from your browser to our edge network. It starts automatically below, results vary depending on server distance, WiFi quality, other devices on your network, and whether a VPN is active.

Results depend on more than your plan speed.
Server distance, WiFi quality, other devices on your network, and whether a VPN is active can all change the numbers above. Run the test again on a wired connection with other traffic paused for the clearest reading of what your ISP is actually delivering.
What these numbers mean
Download speed is how fast data can travel from our server to your device, this is what mostly affects streaming, downloads, and page loads. Upload speed is how fast data travels the other way, which matters for video calls, cloud backups, and sending large files. Ping is the round-trip time for a small request to reach our edge and come back, lower is better, and it matters most for calls, gaming, and remote desktops. Jitter is how much that round-trip time varies between requests, high jitter can make calls choppy even when average ping looks fine.
Why results vary between runs
Speed tests measure network performance, but results depend on more than your plan speed. Server distance, congestion at your ISP or ours, WiFi signal quality, how many devices are active on your network, and whether a VPN is running can all change the numbers. A single run is a snapshot, not a guarantee, run it a few times at different times of day for a fairer picture.
Testing with a VPN
A VPN typically lowers speed and raises ping because your traffic takes a longer path through the VPN server before reaching us. That trade-off is normal. If you want to isolate the VPN's impact, run the test once with the VPN off and once with it on, from the same device and network, back to back.
If your speed looks lower than expected
- Connect by ethernet cable instead of WiFi if you can, to rule out wireless interference.
- Pause other downloads, streams, and cloud backups on your network before testing.
- Restart your router if the result looks far below what your plan promises.
- Compare results with your ISP's own speed test, since some ISPs prioritise traffic to their own servers.
